The Different Styles of Bathroom Faucets Available

Most people have a standard sized bathtub.  This bathtub may or may not include a shower head with it, but one thing is certain: if you’re taller than average, you’re going to find yourself with your knees under your chin.  Average bathtubs are about 72 cm by 152 cm, which doesn’t leave much room for those who are 180 cm or more.

So if you don’t want to have your knees bent while you’re bathing, what are your options?  You can purchase an extra long bathtub.  These tubs look just like standard, rectangular tubs except that they are longer than 152 cm.  However, note that you’ll have to find an extra long shower curtain or doors.  You may also need to actually take out part of your bathroom wall to fit this sized tub in your existing bathroom.  If you’re building your bathroom from the ground up, it’s much easier to install a longer tub, a model from the mira showers range or a mixer shower.

If you have the space, corner or spa style tubs are a great option.  These larger tubs are not rectangular—if anything, they’re more of a square shape or even round.  They provide a lot more space than a standard tub.  In fact, many of them can easily fit two people, which make them great for a little romantic evening.  Of course, these larger tubs are also much more expensive to purchase and install, and they take up a lot more space, too.  You’ve got to have a good sized bathroom to accommodate one of these tubs.

The advantage of these larger tubs, however, is that you have a lot more room to relax.  Many have spa-like water jets that can provide massaging action, which makes them good for those with sore muscles or injuries.  Being able to fully relax in a warm bath after a long day’s work is a huge benefit in itself.
