Electric Shower Chairs

For those who have trouble standing in a shower due to disability, age or other motor problems then electric showers are ideal when used with a shower chair. The space in a shower is not always ideal so to be able to sit down whilst taking a shower with little risk of falling over is peace of mind to many.

Many of the electric shower chairs are retractable so can be moved out of the way when not in use. These folding shower chairs are growing in popularity with the chair mounted on the shower wall in your shower.

The chair itself is attached to a metal frame which you have installed usually by the company who supplied the electric shower chair. Depending on your height may depend on the position and height of the chair when attached in the shower. The shower itself needs enough wall space for the chair with the frame having enough strength to be able to sit a fully grown adult which they shower. This means the wall in the bathroom needs to be concrete and not plasterboard which can be found separating some walls in the home.

A popular electric shower to use in conjunction with a chair is the Mira Sport Shower available from WorldofBaths and Amazon.

If you require a shower chair but your wall is made from timber or plasterboard then there are alternatives which have legs. This reduces any likelihood of the shower collapsing if the wall strength is not adequate.
