Investing in an electric shower

There are so many aspects to upgrading your bathroom, either due to an aging design or to upgrade to the modern appliances such as electric showers, electric towel rail or a Jacuzzi bath are just examples.

Many years ago people used to wash their hair using cold water and a cup during the war or at least heat the water on the stove if they could afford to. Later on things moved on and mixer taps were invented for baths, this lead to the rubber tube shower which works by taking water from the taps and out of the shower head. This was a excellent idea at the time and has lasted for many years, working by the cold and water combining giving adequate warm water to wash your hair.

A disadvantage of this was usually when the hot ran too little all of a sudden giving cold water or not enough cold which turned the water extremely hot. The main reason for this was someone in the home using another tap on the same water system, taking away the water from the shower. Another reason is flushing the toilet, both of which can be very annoying when using a old fashioned bathroom shower.

Thesedays, electric showers such as a Mira Electric shower takes this annoyance away by heating its own water inside the shower itself. The water comes from the old supply and heated as it passes through, a temperature dial on the shower being set to the temperature you desire.

Many Electric Showers such as the Mira Sport have a system which cuts off the water if the water runs to hot.
